Girard-Perregaux watches achieved a new landmark creating the masterpiece named as Vintage 1945 Tourbillion Three Gold Bridges. At Neuchâtel Observatory, the rare time piece was awarded prize for its design which consisted of three parallel bridges in nickel plating. The new vintage watches of limited editions resemble more of its past tradition in many ways with more modern technical approach. The shape of bridges is in contemporary geometric shape as well as rhodium-plated skeleton. The visual effect is due to its hand polish and the assembly work of seventy two components in a diameter of 12mm.
You could see the inspiration of Art Deco style watch of 1945, the case in rectangular shape which is the prominent feature of vintage style timepieces. The convex form with crown exactly brings harmony with your wrist. The sapphire glass in the back of the case, reveals excellent Haute Horlogerie in perfection. The sapphire crystals give protection not only for movement, protects from water and dust and antiglare coating enables to watch the inner workings of the time piece. The automatic calibre shows the architecture of movement. All Fifty pieces have their own hand-engraving numbers. The price is not revealed. I think, if the bridges were in complete black, it could have been interesting.
