UPDATE: Care to check our interesting list of Luxury Homes With Quirky And Outrageous Amenities

It seems the homes of yesteryears country singers are coming on the market one by one. First it was Roy Rogers auction, and now it is the Gene Autry estate. Famous for songs like “Back in the saddle again” and “Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer”, Autry built this estate in 1949 in Studio City, California. According to LA Times Hot Property column reports, this house is up on the market for the first time. Jacqueline Autry, widow of Mr. Autry is still in possession of the house.

This lovely estate has a two story Spanish style house that has five bedrooms. The entire property spans around 2.4 acres and has a guest house, a swimming pool, and an outdoor fireplace, apart from the main house. The house gives a sense of the Western style, which is reflected by the furniture and the wet bar. The place also comes with a breakfast room and a library cum media room crafted with vintage walnut panelling. The master suite boasts of a fireplace, large closets and the oh so lovely his and hers bath (you don’t see that a lot nowadays).

This place also houses works of art, which can be acquired for $200,000. Barbara Robinson of Hilton & Hyland, and Connie Nelson of Coldwell Banker, Studio City have listed this place for $6.9 million.
