First Westin Resort In Thailand Opens in Siray, Phuket

Siray Island near Phuket Island was witness to the launch of a new resort that was opened for guests. It is the latest addition to the Westin’s chain of resorts and hotels and their first resort in Thailand. The Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa, Phuket was opened for guests after a Buddhist and Muslim ceremonies took place to bless the resort. A group of guests and the hotel team both participated in the ceremonies.

The resort is located on the Siray Island, which is on the east coast of phuket, and overlooks Siray Bay with beach and ocean views. There is a bridge connecting Siray Island to Phuket. The new resort is just a 45 minute drive from the Phuket International Airport. The surrounding islands are also approachable from the resort as they are all just a short boat ride away. The resort with a total of 261 rooms, suites and villas have all the standard Westin features.

Heavenly Bed, flat screen television, iPod docking stations and rain showers are standard features. Some suites and villas have their own private plunge pools. The Spa has four single and three couple treatment rooms. There are Ayurveda and sauna rooms too. The Westin Kid Club has very interesting facilities. There are a total of six restaurants and bars to take care of all the tastes of the guests.
