The Mondrian Soho finally opens doors on 22 February. Not just that, the plush hotel will be offering lower “preview rates” of $229 a night for early bird patrons. Remember, this holds only till 1 March. Thereafter, the charges will rise to $259 per night. How does one avail of the “preview rates”? Here’s the secret. While booking rooms at the soon to open Mondrian Soho, make sure you enter the code SPINTR. Without this magic code, the hotel room charges are sure to shoot up. A standard queen room in the Mondrian costs $319. Effectively, without the code, patrons could end up paying nearly a $100 more.
The Mondrian Soho has 270 rooms including four spacious suites and a penthouse on the 25th floor. Each of the suites has an added USP: an attached terrace. As for the ambience, it is sure to leave one with dreams of Paris in the heart of New York City. Custom-made carpets grace the floors and the jewel-box rooms offer a touch of drama with their over-sized mirrors. A marble foyer and bar area, chrome desks and translucent bathroom doors grace several rooms making the new Mondrian a fine example of high-end living.
The Mondrian Soho is the neighbourhood’s tallest high-rise. And the floor-to-ceiling windows in its rooms offering splendid views of the New York City skyline are surely an added attraction.
There had been some initial confusion over naming the upcoming hotel. The name ‘Mondrian New York’ had been doing the rounds. However, the authorities eventually zeroed in on ‘Mondrian Soho’, under which name the hotel will finally open.
