Dorchester Collection Opens 45 Park Lane in London

Dorchester Collection as a hotel brand has redesigned and redefined luxury. Their properties like Le Meurice in Paris, Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan and Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles have created a distinct niche for the brand right at the top in the luxury hotels category. Their portfolio of hotels recently expanded to nine with the opening of 45 Park Lane in London. It is the newest addition to the luxury hotels in the city which are gearing up for the Olympic Games which are less than a year away.

45 Park Lane which opened earlier this month offers a total of 45 rooms and suites for the guests. The highlight is the1830-square-foot penthouse suite with a wraparound terrace offering panoramic views of London. Even if they can’t match the view from the penthouse each of the guestrooms affords views of Hyde Park. CUT at 45 Park Lane is the modern American steak restaurant at the property which brings celebrity chef and restaurateur Wolfgang Puck to Europe for the first time. The restaurant serves a range of steak dishes accompanied by an extensive wine list.

The contemporary property has a very interesting mezzanine level accessible by a central staircase. A bar, library and private media room are located there. Thierry Despont, the famed architect and designer has kept the basic layout very contemporary but has managed to incorporate some art deco influences. Art and aesthetics differentiates this property from other luxury hotels. Original works by ten current British artists are displayed in guest rooms and suites. Dorchester Collection has maintained its distinct characteristics in 45 Park Lane.
