Designers of Resorts Create Hotel Like Comforts & Luxury in Their Home

If your job is to design hotels and create spas what would you do when you make your own home? Tracy and Scott Lee are both designers of luxury resorts and spas and they both had strong ideas about what features they wanted in their own retreat. They have a concrete outdoor soaking tub on a porch off the master bedroom with views of the San Francisco skyline, inspired by the outdoor tubs at the Spa at Calistoga Ranch in Napa Valley, which the couple designed.

To further borrow from their own designs and features they even installed a warming drawer in the master bathroom for towels. They have also installed mini refrigerators in the master bedroom and in the guest room. It does make it a little too hotel like but they have been unable to resist the temptation.

The 2,100 square feet of the home is spread over four stories. The open living room and kitchen are on the top floor to maximize the light and city views. Sliding glass pocket doors open the living room and master suite to large terraces furnished with contemporary Adirondack chairs overlooking a large oak tree and skyline views and 1,000 square feet of outdoor living space.
