This is news to warm the hearts of even the more hardened fliers. Passengers traveling by Delta BusinessElite have a pleasant surprise in store when they fly in to London’s Heathrow airport from USA. Instead of the usual, crowded airport lounges, passengers can now take a breather in the cabins of the Yotel hotel within Terminal 4. You don’t even have to pay for this. It is a complimentary service from Delta BizElite.
All you have to do is breeze through all formalities and customs, then follow the signs that lead to “hotel”. You will soon reach Yotel, a 40-room enterprise with small cabin-like rooms. The smallest of these boasts of a super-compact 75 square foot of space. The complimentary service allows you to rest there for about an hour. No hassle of booking into one of the airport hotels.
The cabins on offer are really compact, giving tired travelers access to all the comforts of home. All, that is, except plenty of space to walk around in. What you will get is a twin bed to stretch out on, plus an en suite bathroom and towels and dispensable toiletries that allow you to spruce up after a never-ending flight. The cabins allow fliers Wi-Fi access. Plus, there is a large flat screen TV that you can veg out in front of.
These mini-hotel rooms are based on the Japanese concept of capsule hotels. Everything you need is available within a tiny space. Those not flying in on Delta BizElite would have to pay charges starting from £32 for four hours and £69 for a full night for a stay at the Terminal 4 Yotel.
