Cirrus Aircraft has been to know to produce masterpiece after masterpiece in the world of aircrafts. It is carrying forward that tradition and has brought out the SR22T, which is the latest addition to the SR22 family of the manufacturers special composite piston aircraft. If you didn’t know, this aircraft happens to be the best selling four-seater in the world, and it has held that position for eight years in a row!
This aircraft is the offspring of the collaboration between engineers at TCM and Cirrus Aircraft. The SR22T flies with the Teledyne Continental Motors (TCM) twin-turbocharged TSIO-550-K engine, which is one of the best out there. The operation of this plane is quieter than the others, the weight is lesser, and the ride is smoother. It features several other features and refinements that add to it’s high performance. One such feature is the tin turbo charged option, plus greater future fuel flexibility.
The base price of this aircraft currently is around $475,000 and $525,900 if fully equipped. Since it is new it will be a while before one can actually pass a judgement on its performance, but its features do look quite promising, and considering the history of Cirrus Aircraft, I am pretty sure the fliers will not be disappointed.
