CEO Unveils Hublot Big Bang Watch Made Exclusively for Tourneau Stores

Tourneau Stores are America’s leading watch retail network. Since they control a significant share of the high end watches they are able to get watch makers of popular brands to create special editions for them which are available only in their stores. Hublot is the latest example who have under an exclusive agreement created the Hublot Big Bang watch to be sold exclusively in Tourneau Stores. CEO Jean-Claude Biver showed up in New York City recently to unveil a new limited edition Hublot Big Bang watch.

Mr. Biver reaffirmed in an interview recently that the American market is important for them and they will continue to focus on it. Many popular brands have shifted focus on the rapidly growing Asian markets at the cost of the US. Hublot is active in China and the surrounding markets but their sustained focus on US is paying them dividends.

The watch is a variation on the classic Big Bang. In a 44mm wide case, the watch is done in 18k rose gold with a tungsten bezel and ruthenium dial. Movement and other features have not been changed. The number of watches made is just 75, and the price will be $25,900 – $26,300 – depending on the strap.

  • The gold case looks a bit like wood grain. I’d love to see Hublot make a watch out of a really hard wood. Heck, anybody in the luxury watch biz, really… Anyways, at only 75 pieces, these are going to be hard to come by, I’m sure.
