Bulgari is all set to launch its latest leather line collection. The Italian fashion house which was taken over by LVMH, a French company in 2011, has used some exquisite and unique designs in their recent collection which includes a variety of things from shoulder bags, belts to bracelets and wallets. Oozing with luxury and style the collection has been named the Serpenti collection. It is an extension of their Serpenti timepiece and jewellery collection which was launched last year. Keeping in mind their understated and matte look that the design house is renowned for, the Bulgari Serpenti Leather Collection epitomises simplicity and class and is miles away from being a gaudy bling collection.
It was at a grand event in Milan earlier this year where the Bulgari Serpenti Leather Collection was launched. Amidst some music and elite banter LVHM, the current owners of Bulgari hosted the event. The occasion also saw some eclectic performances by Gus Gus, an Icelandic band.
The Bulgari Sepenti collection is one that you cannot resist for its design and texture is as smooth and slithering as a snake. A Bulgari will never come cheap and the most expensive bag of this collection will cost you a whopping $4,600. It’s a Bulgari after all and once you lay your hands on a Serpenti bag there’s no stopping you from exuding style and panache.
The Bulgari Serpenti Leather Collection
The Serpenti leather has been derived from karung snakeskin. It is the famous snake head that stands out in the Bulgari Serpenti Leather Collection. It adorns all the leather products of this collection and gives them an exclusive look. The head comes with a light gold plated enamel and also has green malachite eyes.
For those who may not like to use a snake skin product it will be a respite to know that not all products of the Bulgari Serpenti Leather Collection are made of snake skin. The shoulder bags are available in calf skin. The collection also has a clutch and for those who prefer being handsfree the bag also comes with a long serpentine chain. The signature snake head however appears as a head closure. The strap of the bags has been given a snake scale skin texture. The design only brings out their snake inspired design. The bags can be used if you intend to go for that understated look. The Serpente’s rich, deep hue makes it an ideal way to add a pop of colour to an evening ensemble, while its strap allows it to be worn in more casual settings as well.
As mentioned before the bags come with a hefty price tag. The small shoulder bags are priced around $2,100 a piece and the larger ones are available for $2,500.
The bag’s already a hot with the celebrities. The Bulgari Serpenti Leather bag was first found being the arm candy of Emma Roberts. Another celebrity who was spotted with the Bulgari Serpenti Leather collection from Spring 2012 was Miranda Kerr.
Are you next in line to make this very ladylike smooth and slithering snake bag your most priced possession.
