Fragrances or perfumes and jewelry make a good combination. They jell well and perhaps attract the same set of customers. Hence it makes good economic sense for a jeweler to launch a fragrance of his own and try and cross sell it to his existing customers. Ben Bridge Jeweler recently launched “Flawless,” the retailer’s first fragrance. But it is better late than never.
The packaging of the new fragrance Flawless makes it evident that the producers and promoters are jewelers. The fragrance is sold in a bottle that resembles an upside down brilliant cut diamond topped by a cap that looks like another diamond. The resemblance to jewelry does not end here. It sits inside a ring-shaped box. The fragrance, one must say has very fruity variations. The scent includes notes of cucumber, pear, citrus, magnolia, verbena, saffron and cocoa.
The company is distributing and retailing the new fragrance exclusively through their own channels. Flawless is available in Ben Bridge stores and online at BenBridge.com. The 1.70 fluid-ounce eau de parfum bottle sells for $85. Ben Bridges are the latest in the long list of jewelry houses that have fragrance lines of their own. The list includes prestigious brands like Cartier, Bulgari and Van Cleef & Arpels.
