Baselworld 2010: Ventura V-tex Sigma Inspired by Nicholas Cage Starrer Bangkok Dangerous

If you are a fan of Nicholas Cage, you would have heard about Bangkok Dangerous. The movie required Nicholas Cage to look as futuristic as possible and thus his watch had to be very futuristic too.

The watch that he used in the movie might just be available for you to buy and is called the Ventura V-tex Sigma. You could go ahead and switch between time, calendar, chronograph, countdown, and 12/24-hour settings. The watch is not all that expensive and this Hollywood inspired watch costs just $500. It would be showcased at this month’s Baselworld in Switzerland.

The watch does not look all that great to me, and since it has got something to do with Nicholas Cage, it certainly can’t be a luxury affair. Of course, it is loaded with technological features but they alone will not make a watch luxurious or worth talking about.

If you would like to look as bad as Nicholas Cage, you could go ahead and shell out $500. I would however not wear this thang to any party. In fact, is someone gave this watch as a gift to me, I would sell it.

Baselworld 2010 is scheduled from 18-25 March.
