Baselworld 2010: Harry Winston’s Project Z6 Is Futuristic

Harry Winston Project Z6 goes back to the days of 22004 when it was first kick started. It is a limited edition series that was expected to bridge the gaping gap between high technological innovation and fine watch making tradition.

It comes with a rugged design and futuristic aesthetics. It is a cool sports watch that also carries with it an element of aristocracy. In fact, it was this company that brought Zalium as a new material for manufacturing watches.

The zirconium-based alloy is used in aeronautical industries too. It has cool hypo-allergenic and corrosive resistant properties and that is perhaps what makes the new watch so special. Project Z6 comes with a hand-wound, 24- hour alarm clock movement and is limited to just 340 pieces.

The 45 jewel movement makes sure that you have the best watch possible, no matter what. There is also a visible hammer that shows how it rings the alarm. The alarm lasts for 20 seconds and may not be enough to wake you up from a deep slumber. The watch comes with a power reserve of 72 hours.

Baselworld 2010 is scheduled from 18-25 March.
