Baselworld 2010: Calibre 2206 Hms from Romain Gauthier Is Expensive

The Calibre 2206 Hms from Romain Gauthier could just be the coolest watch to be ever announced. You could expect to hear more of it at the Baselworld 2010 and I am sure many people are waiting to hear or learn just that.

The watch is built in such a way that it could be wound without removing it from your hand. You could choose between 18K pink gold, 18K white gold, or 750 platinum on your watch, and the price would obviously depend on which one you choose.

The movement is hand wound and everything is handmade. It comes with a slightly low power reserve of 60 hours, though it is not really that bad. Though the watch isn’t really all that great it costs $10,000 which means you could be buying many things better than this for the same amount.

It would be announced at the Baselworld 2010 as I mentioned earlier and I am sure you would want to know more about it as well. It looks good of course, but there are also other watches which look better and also offer more features for a similar price or even a lesser price.

Baselworld 2010 is scheduled from 18-25 March.

  • I wanted to point out that your price on this watch is way off. If it was 10K, I’d buy it in a heartbeat as would any savvy watch collector. Just a precious metal case alone cost 10K. This watch is more in the neighborhood of 60K. If you read more about it, you’ll understand more of what goes into creating and making this watch” It’s not just about functionality, high watchmaking is about engineering and hand finish, which this has in spades. The aesthetics are another story altogether. Taste is a very personal thing.
