The Aurora Hotel Collection is one of the more eminent hotel chains in the U.K., and they have begun to diversify and establish themselves as a true luxury chain. This time around, RAPLOCH-born entrepreneur Steven McLeod has been given the permission to carry on a £40 million development at the hotel between Plean and Larbert.
This would in turn create 500 jobs, which is really great in times of unemployment. The permission was granted unanimously by the Falkirk Council, and the luxury hotel is now going to be “enhanced”.
Some of the features that the new hotel facility would come with are spa, leisure and recreation facilities, meeting and event facilities for 1500 people, two concept restaurants and bars. It would also create 200 additional rooms at the 12 room Glenbervie House Hotel. The ballroom is another attraction, and it is already making heads turn.
It would have a capacity for 1000 guests and a smaller art auditorium would have a capacity for 600 guests. The 22 metre indoor Ozone swimming pool is something that most guests would like to check out. Looks like the authorities also understand that luxury development could not only create jobs, but also great infrastructure necessary for tourism. This is a step in the right direction.
