If you were planning to go skiing, this just might be the best time if you stay close to Scotland. Scotland received unusually heavy snowfalls and the conditions have been described as awesome, for those who love to ski. Lecht Ski Centre in Aberdeenshire received more than 40,000 visitors since mid December and this is only going to improve, thanks to the recent and unusually heavy snowfall.
People from all over Britain including Wales and England have been swarming to skiing resorts in Scotland, and it shows in the numbers present at the Skiing resorts. Cairngorm Mountain ski resort near Aviemore had more than 1,500 skiers on the slope by 11am on Monday, since the snowfall happened.
Scotland could be a great way to try your skiing techniques, for it is closer home and much cheaper compares with the luxurious resorts across the border in France. Nevertheless, none of these resorts lack any of the luxuries present in world class skiing resorts. So pack your warm clothes, and head towards the land of Scotch and men wearing kilts! It just couldn’t get better!
