And the lucky dad contest 2010 goes to….whoever it goes to gets a 50 year old scotch with a great hotel deal!

As Father’s Day rolls around the corner, stores and hotels come up with lots of deals and offers. One such elite deal is the Father’s Day package at the Manrdarin Oriental in New York City. One of the six bottles of the Glenfiddich 50 Year Old is possessed by the hotel.

Glenfiddich’s 50 year old version sells at a whopping $16,000. Being limited to 500 individually numbered, it comes in hand blown bottles with decoration in Scottish silver. Accompanied by a book and a signed certificate the bottles are packaged in leather bound cases. Now the qualification process is tough. The 50 year old whiskey must sit in its barrel unmixed with any other drink for the whole time. Regardless, some of the liquor evaporates and it is known as the angel’s share which makes the process even more challenging.

The father’s day begins in style with Bentley transport from the airport to the Mandarin Oriental. The hotel offers a stay at Central Park View Suite that opens up the view of Central Park and Manhattan skyline. The lucky father gets presented with his own bottle of Glenfifddich 50 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whiskey!  Also included is a special feast and a four course dinner for two prepared by chef Tasting . This whole package costs $33,100 and the dates are between June 1, 2010- September 6, 2010.

Guess who’s the lucky father?
