America’s Most Expensive Home in Holmby Hills Costs $150 Million

United States of America’s most expensive home is not located in Washington D.C., but predictably so in Holmby Hills, Hollywood. The French styled chateau once belonged to entertainer Bing Crosby and after his death; Candy Spelling and Aaron Spelling took over the property.

They renovated it with staircases inspired by the novel Gone with the Winds, and Italian limestone exteriors, a secret rose garden, and even Parisian lamps. The house comes with several rooms and a wall to wall screen makes sure that the occupants of the house can watch movies like no one else can do.

It is being listed for a price of $150 million, and apparently there has been interest from all the continents of the world, and the response has been quite encouraging. Moreover, the house shall be sold to only those who are really interested in maintaining the French styled chateau.

The ornate structures within the gardens, the ponds, the fountains and other areas make for a great party scene and your guests could socialize freely. It sure looks like the most expensive house in the U.S.A., but I also feel that the house is pitifully ostentatious. It looks like a clear case of vanity gone too far.
